Jura is served by a regular ferry from Port Askaig on Islay which makes regular crossings throughout the day. The island’s population is centred on the village of Craighouse. Although it is one of the larger islands its population is just 196 – it has famously a population of 5000 deer. Jura is located in the southern Hebridean islands.
